The suicide squad is there and it does Suicide Squad looks like … well, no this line doesn’t quite work because it does Suicide Squad looks exactly as terrible as it started out. The point is, it’s good! Very well. Thanks, James Gunn, for donating. us the super violent, super funny, super weird DC movie we’ve been waiting for.
Even though Gunn’s version of Suicide Squad isn’t as obsessed with DC Comics minutiae as the first movie, it still contains quite a few Easter eggs and references to comic book history. Based on the names and places listed in The suicide squad, I guess James Gunn is a big fan of old John Ostrander Suicide Squad comics, and also Frank Miller The return of the dark knight. There is also a good chance that he likes Batman: Along Halloween, and I’m pretty sure he’s at least heard of the Birds of prey movie.
In case you missed them yourself, here are the 10 Coolest Easter Eggs in The suicide squad, which is in theaters now and available on HBO Max.
