Alvaro Morata returns on loan to Juventus



Spain striker Alvaro Morata has returned on loan to Italian Juventus, the club announced on Tuesday.

“He will be part of this year’s squad, with an option to extend the loan for one year, plus an option to buy,” Juventus said on their website.

“Juventus Football Club SpA announces that an agreement with Atletico de Madrid for the temporary acquisition, until the end of the 2020/2021 sports season, of registration rights for player Alvaro Morata has been finalized for a amount of 10 million euros, to be paid during the current financial year, ”he said in a press release.

The Turin side have the option to buy the Spain forward at the end of the 2020/21 campaign for 45million euros ($ 52million).

In addition, the Italian side has the right to temporarily extend the acquisition until the end of the 2021-22 season for a fee of 10 million euros ($ 11 million).

Morata has previously played for Spain’s Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and England’s Chelsea.

The 27-year-old helped Real Madrid win two UEFA Champions League titles and two FIFA Club World Cup trophies.

When playing for Juventus from 2014 to 2016, he scored 27 goals and 18 assists in 93 games.
