The Coptic Oak, Markfield

This recently reopened pub still has places available for Father’s Day. Dad could enjoy a mixed roast for £15.50, featuring beef and pork leg top with Bramley apple stuffing, served with pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes with herbs, sticky braised red cabbage, seasonal greens, maple and parsnip roasted carrots, homemade Yorkshire pudding and red wine sauce.

The pub has just undergone a £500,000 refurbishment, which has included changes to the interior and exterior. Nice little touches have been added including a range of family games available to borrow.

There are also sweets on the bar for the kids and blankets to keep you warm when you’re sitting outside. They will even provide you with reading glasses if you left yours at home.
