Rob Liefeld is perhaps one of the most infamous comic book artists of all time.
As a big supporter of the aggro and tactical style of renowned comics in the 90s, his muscular work became a frequent subject of ridicule among comic book fans and artists when the extreme aesthetic fell out of favor. Despite this, he created lasting legends (like Cable and Deadpool) during his time at Marvel, and he certainly deserves his fans for it. (The Deadpool character even shared his creator’s most repeated criticism in Deadpool 2, making a flippant remark about a person “who can’t draw feet.”)
Liefeld will be at several Coliseum of Comics locations in Florida next month, meeting fans and talking about the many uses for cover art. By all accounts, he seems to be a good player for his reputation.
In-store events begin July 10 at the Coliseum of Comic’s Kissimmee store (2511 Old Vineland Road, Kissimmee) from noon to 5 p.m. The next day, he’ll be in Jacksonville from noon to 6 p.m. On July 12, he will participate in a VIP screening of dead Pool at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando.
