As The Beatles – Acting Naturally (Obscure, Rare, Unfinished and Abandoned Film and TV Projects Of The Fab Four) is released this week by New Haven, Rory said this treasure of information is only scratching the surface of his gigantic international search.

This avowed Fab Four obsessive said: “I started editing the book last summer because I love The Beatles.

“There has been so much written about them, but one aspect of their career that has been overlooked is their television and film projects.”

The end result includes everything from how the band did the Magical Mystery Tour to obscure Beatles-related TV shows in Argentina to a myriad of short appearances or abandoned ideas before filming even began.

Written with humor and love, Rory says the goal was to create a fun read.

Rory said, “I hope Beatles fans find this entertaining and educational.

“I wanted it to be chatty and easy to use.

“It was a really fun project to do.

“The book contains all television shows including The Beatles around the world, but thousands of clips have been omitted …”

The book has already started making waves in America after being reviewed by an American blogger (

As a result of this, the editors were approached by famous Beatles author Robert Rodriguez, who wrote the FAQ books on The Beatles, among others, who wanted to do a podcast there.
