The Mesilla Valley Readers of Southern New Mexico Book Club will host a conversation with New York Times bestselling author Sarah McCoy about her new book, “Mustique Island,” from 4-5 p.m. Thursday, June 9, via Zoom .

The presentation is free and open to the public, the book club said in a press release.
Here’s what McCoy had to say about his new book on his website: “A compulsive, sunny journey of self-discovery with a wealthy divorcee and her two headstrong daughters in 1970s Mustique, the world’s most exclusive private island. world, where Princess Margaret and Mick Jagger were regulars and long-held secrets are the buried treasures.
Sarah is known to local readers as the 2012 Goodreads Choice nominee for her El Paso-based book, “The Baker’s Daughter,” the book club said.
McCoy lives with her husband, an orthopedic sports surgeon, their dog, Gilly, and their cat Tutu (Tularosa), in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
