Tuscany Italian Market Open at Freehold, Manalapan, Marlboro

Growing up in an Italian neighborhood of Union City, we had five delis or Italian stores around our house. They would compete for the neighborhood.

When we moved to Marlboro in the 1970s, I really missed all those delicious Italian specialties. Now Marlboro has the Italian market of Tuscany, as does Manalapan and Freehold.

Tuscany has been around since 1997. The idea came about when owner Vinny LaFranca came to New Jersey and realized that there was no real Italian food here, just some kind of imitation,

“We opened a small shop in Manalapan on 1800 square feet and now 26 years later it’s a legacy. If you ask anyone, ‘who is the mayor?’ They don’t know. But if you ask, ‘Who is Vinny Tuscany?’ Everyone knows.”

“Tuscany is about quality, not quantity,” says LaFranca. “Tuscan ready meals are 90% family recipes that over the years have been shaped for the fresh palates of a new generation. Old World.”

What sets Tuscany apart from all the other Italian stores in the area?

“Quality, sincerity and honesty and the products we make like the statewide well-known fresh ricotta and mozzarella prepared daily two to three times a day. Our chemical-free Soppressada and dry sausage. We make everything right here and there. is what sets us apart.”

“Tuscany Meats are USDA approved, freshly cut premium meats. Number 1 number one. They have amazing boneless ribeye from Ireland.”

I asked Vinny about the Tuscany experience

“When I think in business, I think like a customer and when I make decisions, I make them as a customer. If I were a customer at Tuscany, what would I want? what I would like as a customer? Decent service, best quality and fair price. This is what sets Tuscany apart. A decent price for the quality we sell and no one can beat it. Others preach one thing and give you another, we don’t. If we sell it as premium meat, it’s premium meat. You may pay a higher price, but it’s a premium piece of meat.

I don’t care where you’re from or what you know as an Italian store. You must visit one of the three Tuscan sites. They will definitely change your perspective. Do yourself and your guests a favor, have Tuscony prepare your party. It will definitely be worth it!
